Second Skin is primarily an advanced class; however, if you’re a beginner or intermediate bootblack, please feel welcome—I’ll find ways to engage you in the class. I will split the class within the same room to cover different levels of experience. Observers are also welcome.

Little Bad Daddy offers this 301+ advanced boot blacking class, covering restoration and repair. She is ready to help you solve your bootblack challenges; bring your inquisitive minds and ask away. We’ll cover many topics; they may include:

• ways of recoloring leather (including worn edges of garments)
• strategies to unfurl the creasing and folds of improperly stored leather
• techniques for resurfacing leather through abrading—to get a smooth shine with surgical precision
• how to remove mold, burnish edges, rehabilitate deep gouges, scratches
• how to patch suedes
